Milk Soup with Dumplings or Klep Suppe
Ingredients
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp sugar
- 4 cups milk
- 1 tsp salt (for milk)
- 1 Tbsp butter
Instructions
- Combine eggs, 1/4 cup milk, flour, 1/2 tsp salt, baking powder, and sugar. Mix until smooth.
- Heat 4 cups milk in microwave for about 5 minutes, add 1 tsp. salt.
- Put butter in a heavy pan and melt. Add hot milk.
- Drop dumplings by small spoonfuls into milk and cook until cooked through on low to medium heat, for about 15 minutes.
- Stir frequently so it doesn't scorch.
