2015 Newsletters

The first meeting of 2015 is scheduled for January 10th at the Giants of the Earth Heritage Center, featuring Ron and Freida Nowland and a soup lunch. The annual Barnelopet children's ski event will take place on February 7th in Decorah. Recent announcements include the December 11th meeting at Ivy Grove restaurant and the lodge's Annual Norwegian Bake Sale held on December 13th.

The March meeting features a history talk on Norwegian carriage decoration. Upcoming events include an April 9 visit to Lanesboro Lodge, a public "Flatbread Day" on April 11, a reception for the Norwegian immigration exhibit on April 19, and the May 17-19 Syttende Mai celebrations with bake sales.

Valheim Lodge's May/June 2015 newsletter highlights upcoming events including the Syttende Mai Royalty Tea on May 9th, the May Regular Monthly Meeting featuring David Glomstad on May 14th, and the Spring Grove SYTTENDE MAI Fest on May 16th, which includes a Bake Sale, demonstrations, and a Grand Parade starting at 1:30 pm.
