Ginger Snaps

Ingredients
- 3/4 cups Crisco
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 egg beaten
- 4 Tbsp molasses
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 cups flour
- 3 tsp soda
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- white sugar (for rolling)
Instructions
- Beat together Crisco, white sugar, egg, and molasses.
- Sift together salt, flour, soda, cloves, ginger, and cinnamon.
- Beat dry ingredients into wet mixture.
- Make balls size of walnut.
- Roll in white sugar.
- Press down.
- Bake moderate oven.
