Never Fail Scalloped Potatoes
Ingredients
- 6 lg potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 med onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 stick butter
- 3 Tbsp flour
- 3 cups milk
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp pepper
Instructions
- Mix sliced potatoes and onions together in casserole dish.
- Melt butter, add flour.
- Add milk, bring to a boil, stirring until thickened.
- Add salt and pepper.
- Pour over potatoes and bake 350°F for 1 hour covered.
- Then bake 30 minutes uncovered.
- Make sure there is enough sauce to cover the potatoes. (Depending on potatoes, it may take longer to bake until cooked through.)
