Oatmeal Flat Bread

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 2 cups ground or quick oatmeal
- 3 cups flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp soda
Instructions
- Mix dry ingredients and cut in shortening.
- Stir together sour cream and buttermilk and dissolve soda into mixture.
- Roll out very thinly and prick with a fork if you do not have a prickly rolling pin.
- Bake at 375°F or on a griddle until edges are golden brown.
- It bubbles when baking if the griddle temperature is too hot.
