Waffle Cookies

Ingredients
- 4 squares unsweetened chocolate
- 1 cup butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 square chocolate (for frosting, or 2 tbsp cocoa)
- 1 cup brown sugar (for frosting)
- 1/2 cup water (for frosting)
- 5 Tbsp butter (for frosting)
- 2 tsps vanilla (for frosting)
- powdered sugar (for frosting, to thicken as desired)
- nuts (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Melt chocolate and butter.
- In different bowl, beat eggs and sugar. Fold in flour and vanilla.
- Mix in melted chocolate and butter.
- Drop by teaspoon onto heated heart waffle iron.
- Start timing (1 minute) as soon as cover is down. Cool and frost.
- For frosting: Melt 1 square chocolate (or 2 tbsp cocoa), brown sugar, water, and butter.
- Boil 2 1/2 minutes, add vanilla. Cool and add powdered sugar to thicken as desired.
- Can put nuts on top of cookies.
