Rømmegrøt

Ingredients
- 3 cups milk, scalded
- 4 cups cream (whipping cream)
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- sugar, salt to taste
- sour cream (optional, to approximate Norwegian romme)
- melted butter, cinnamon and sugar (for serving)
Instructions
- Boil cream for some time, stirring to keep from scorching.
- Gradually add flour stirring until the butter comes out of the cream.
- Skim off butter, set aside.
- Add milk until smooth.
- Serve with melted butter, cinnamon and sugar.
- To approximate the taste of Norwegian romme, add some sour cream to the whipping cream.
